Ardkinglas Northern Light (Out wood Fluorescent x Arlette of Nork) was the Champion of Champion Hackney Horses of 1970’s. Imported through Frank and Cynthia Haydon by the Ardkinglas Stud of Scotland, Northern Light was shown by Lawrence Carss for Dr. W. W. Bartlett of Brampton, Ontario. Northern Light was shown to several championships, including the Royal Winter Fair Championship in 1972, 1973, and 1974. A winner until his untimely death in 1975, it has been stated that he was truly the most remarkable Hackney Horse on this side of the Atlantic. With his athletic motion and astonishing charisma, Ardkinglas Northern Light has earned his place in the Hackney Hall of Fame.
